Closet Drool

Ok I know I am just wishful thinking this morning.A girl can dream right. This is the ideal closet that I need. I am not a Sex in the City type of girl, but I would love to replicate Carrie Bradshaw's closet like this couple did.

Pottery Barn VS Ballard Design

I have always loved Pottery Barn and still do but I am just loving Ballard Designs Christmas catalog. I have been wanting for some time now to redecorate different areas in the house and I am just loving these pics that were in the most recent catalog from Ballard Designs. What do you think?
This would be very nice right in my foyer area. It's not to much and not to little it's just right to make a statement. Don't you agree?
Once Kaden is a big boy which will be a long time we plan to finish the unfinish bonus room and move Kyron into that space and Kaden take Kyron's old room and Kaden's bedroom will turn into our much need space for a home office. Wht do you think about this space above. It's just a warm and cozyyet inviting area, but still allows you to get the work done. all images via ballarddesigns.com

This would be my family room once the kids are teenagers and I can keep it clean. Wishful thinking right!

Master Bedroom Makeover

I have always been inspired by Pottery Barn magazines. I wished I could actually decorate the entire house with Pottery Barn decor. I have talked to the DH and we have agreed to make over master bedroom over before Kaden arrives. I would love to come home to a comfortable hotel feeling type of bed. I want to also purchase a feather bed for our bed and incorporate new fresh bedding. I have my eye on this from Pottery Barn.
We purchased a quilt from Pottery Barn when we first moved into our house about 2 years ago, and I am currently still using it today. That just lets you know how good the quality of Pottery Barn bedding is. I would highly recommend anyone to purchase their bedding. About two weeks again I was in TJMaxx and scored on a cream quilt and shams to go along with the duvet and shams. I hope to add photos on the walls with a black frame with cream or white matte finish along with a large black floor mirror.

Boys Room 101...........

I know you guys think that's all this lady does in talk about decorating, shopping, or her kids. Hi I think every girl does that. I am thinking about long range room arrangements for the boys. I know Kyron will be 4 years older then Kaden, but do you think they will be able to share rooms or have separate rooms. I am so confused about this situation because I feel that Kyron will want to have his one space later in life and I can totally understand that. I just want them to love on each other and share rooms as long as they can. Right now I hate the way our house is arranged.Kyron and Kennedy Grace both have their bedrooms upstairs with a full bath which they never sleep in because the Dh and I are totally scared of Kennedy Grace on the stairs right now. Kyron is a master at the stair case. They both sleep together in the extra bedroom that is located down stairs. I know you are thinking she has a boy and a girl sleeping in the same room.Well they are babies and I don't think they care about it. LOL Anyway I planned on turning the room downstairs into Kaden's bedroom and take the two little ones up stairs into their our rooms again. Kyron right now has a full size bed which his crib changed into and Kennedy Grace's will do the same. So I can not purchase them any beds right away. Kyron does need a new dresser. I am just drooling all over
this for the boys sharing rooms and it look like this! I love everything about the room.

What's your style

67% Classic
33% Nantucket Style

Classic
What's old is new again! The beauty of Classic style is how well it takes all of the beautiful forms, colors and textures of the past and reinvents them in a way that feels both fresh and inspired.

The style itself is a mix of European influences and French, English and Italian antiques and replicas are often used together. Furniture is well proportioned and comfortable and the rooms give off an air of sophistication and grace. Oil paintings depicting still-life or nature scenes and emphasizing symmetry of pairs helps maintain the traditional nature of the room. Windows are often covered with opulent fabric shades and/or drapery.

Traditional rooms give off an air of history that seems to say "I was here long before you, and will remain long after you've gone." And yet, even with this level of sophistication, the rooms are soft and inviting.

Nantucket Style
Oh how you love the beach! Who doesn't, right? And so your dream home is either perched in your favorite beach town, or you've brought that favorite beach town into your house.

Your art and accessories speak directly to the activities that are found at the beach. Pieces of driftwood you found here, pictures or paintings of the amazing views there. Things that remind you of the coast - surf boards or fishing boats - are found throughout the house. The feeling of the seaside is both abstract and literal in the design of your space. The fabrics are natural, cottons and linens and are light in color and touch. Much of the furniture is wood or wood framed (the lighter the better, think driftwood!) and wicker, when done right, is a must.

And since your true inspiration is the sea, the colors and textures in your home are the same that you would find at your favorite beach: white, light beiges and grays of the sand and driftwood, a variety of blues for the ocean and sky, and greens and vibrant blues of the sea glass but the key is white! Your space should feel light and airy and give off the mood one has when at the beach: laid back!

Your furniture is comfortable and the layout is cozy. The more it reminds you of actually sitting on the warm sand, the better! And what do you do at the beach? Hang out with family and friends - and your home is just an extension of this play place. And though the space is filled with large white furniture, it somehow manages to feel both durable and casual

I'm still here

I know everyone is wondering what happen to me. It has been a long time since I post on this blog. Man I tell you it's hard to remember posting when you are busy with work, school, and family. I have decided to do some decorating around the house. I will so some pics. once everything is finish. I plan to do more. Can you believe that it's October 1st. I have not decided on buying a costume for Kyron for Halloween or not. He does not really know what it means right now anyway. Maybe I will let him were the costume he wore last year as my little sweet pumpkin and help mommy and daddy give out candy the the little kids as they come to the house. What do you think? I still have not put my scrap room together. I did not think it would take this much time to organize and piece things together. Well I guess I will go for now.Next time it will not be so long for me to post again. Until next time Happy Scrapping!

House on the Market!

Today was a bit strange. My DH and I have been talking about down sizing to a smaller house, but that is all we did was talk about it. Last night we went to look at some Garden Homes a couple blocks over. This morning my DH called owner realtor who handles everything for us and she asked him was we ready to move soon! (LoL) He went on to tell her that we wanted to just see some of the Garden homes today and she said that was great because she had a couple that was interested in our house. Now our house is not on the market, there is no realtor sign in the front yard. The only people who new house serious we were about selling was GOD! ( Think to yourself a min.) After the DH got off the telephone with her I had to ask GOD was this him telling us something because from time to time GOD try and tell us things, but we do not listen. I hope and pray that GOD will help us with this journey and make all the right decision. So we meet the realtor today at 4:00 to see the Garden Homes and for her to see ours. Go in Pray with me that everything works out for the good! Here is a photo of our house now.( It was built in 2006 and we moved in May 2007) Yeah! May 2007

Here is a pic of our house!
